Federal Judge Blocks Obama’s Transgender Bathroom/Locker Room Mandate, Just as Some Classes Begin
Bob Eschliman : Aug 22, 2016 : Charisma News
“This president is attempting to rewrite the laws enacted by the elected representatives of the people, and is threatening to take away federal funding from schools to force them to conform. That cannot be allowed to continue, which is why we took action to protect states and school districts.”

With school set to start Monday morning in a number of U.S. states, a Texas federal judge’s order has changed a key policy many school districts were grudgingly preparing to enforce.
U.S. District Judge Reed O’Connor determined federal officials didn’t follow proper procedures in creating the Obama administration’s transgender mandate for public schools. In releasing an order to block the mandate throughout the U.S., he added the administration’s guidelines contradicted existing statutes and regulatory texts.
U.S. public schools were instructed in May that transgender students must be allowed to use bathrooms and locker rooms consistent with their chosen gender identity just days after the Justice Department sued North Carolina over a state law that requires people to use public bathrooms that correspond with the sex on their birth certificate…
A new report by two Johns Hopkins University researchers reveals that scientific evidence does not support the claim that homosexuals are “born that way.” How could this impact Obama’s transgender directives? One of the most shocking details of the report is that a majority of adolescents no longer identify as transgender or deal with same-sex attraction by adulthood. As many as 80 percent of teenage men who report same-sex attraction no longer do so as adults.
The study also shows a very small portion of the total population, less than 1 percent, identify as transgender. It concludes there is no evidence to suggest that children should be encouraged to become transgender if they exhibit opposite gender behavior.
A police captain assisting flood victims in Louisiana says he was told by the American Red Cross to stop praying with displaced residents because, “people might be offended.”
In a now viral video posted on Facebook, Capt. Clay Higgins says, “This flood is biblical in proportion, and I believe it certainly calls for a biblical response.”
He says he wanted to offer love, encouragement, compassion and prayer for people who had been displaced and were living in the temporary shelter set up in his town of Lafayette.
As Higgins began to pray with a flood victim he was tapped on the shoulder by a Red Cross volunteer, who he says “kindly” asked him to leave. The volunteer explained that The Red Cross couldn’t allow him to pray in their shelter because his prayers could be offending others.
Higgins calls the interaction “a reminder” from God “about some of the larger challenges that we face.”
According to a spokeswoman for the American Red Cross, the organizations policy states that no religion can be singled out and practiced.
“Our First Amendment rights include the freedom of religion and the free practice thereof,” Higgins said in his video. “But moreover, man, bigger than our own First Amendment, what’s wrong with offering love and prayer to people that are in a shelter?”

Keep Echinacea Close
If you feel a cold coming on, consider reaching for this age-old remedy. A 2007 meta-analysis showed that the herb can reduce cold symptoms. Aim for three grams daily in tincture or capsule form, starting at the first sign of symptoms.
Three – Recipe
3-Ingredient Pulled Pork
2 bottles 18-oz. barbeque sauce
1 envelope dry onion soup mix
1 4-pound boneless pork loin roast
1 4-pound pkg. country-style pork ribs
Stir 1 bottle barbeque sauce and dry onion soup mix together in the bottom of a large slow cooker crock. Place pork loin and ribs into the slow cooker.
1. Cook on High until the meat begins to fall apart, 6 to 8 hours. Remove meat and set aside. Allow crock to cool enough to handle; pour liquid into a bowl. Clean the crock and return it to the slow cooker.
2. Debone ribs; discard bones and any fat. Shred meat from the ribs. Shred pork loin meat using two forks pulling them in opposite directions. Return all the shredded meat to the slow cooker. Pour 1 bottle barbeque sauce over the pork. Add a small amount of water to the sauce bottle, shake vigorously to get as much sauce from the bottle as possible, and pour into the slow cooker.
3. Cook on Low for 1 hour.

The Most Simple and Least Expensive Ways to Purify Water
First off, let’s talk about boiling water. It may seem that the basics of boiling water has been covered, but it cannot be overemphasized. When you come upon that “virgin stream” out in the woods, understand: that virginity may not exist. A host of different pathogens come into play from many different sources. Some of these are as simplistic as animals urinating in the water upstream of your collection point. Also, many streams pick up sedentary water from pools or inlets that have algae and bacteria growing in them; this water is then transported to your location.
Bring your drinking water to a rolling boil for 15 to 20 minutes before consumption. At altitudes above one mile or 2,000 meters, you should increase the rolling time to three minutes. I have advocated in the past the 1-quart Army green plastic canteen system, simply because the canteen is extremely durable, and its pouch houses a steel canteen cup. This canteen cup is a lifesaver, simply because you can accomplish your boiling of water in it and transfer it to the canteen when finished. Augment the canteen system with alcohol prep pads to swab and cleanse the mouth and cap of the canteen.
Boiling is the way to go, and you can use it in combination with chemical disinfection. Chlorine bleach (minus additives) can go a long way. 16 drops of chlorine bleach per gallon, and (therefore) 4 drops per quart of water. This is one of the reasons the Army canteen is useful, as you have a full quart, and it is easy to disinfect according to this ratio. The water purification tablets that are issued by the service are useful, even though the water doesn’t taste great. For any of these (including commercial tablets…follow the manufacturer’s instructions), allow the cap on your canteen/quart drinking bottle to remain loose. Sometimes detritus rises to the surface. Just slough this off, and let it sit for 15 to 20 minutes. THIS IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR BOILING!

“For it is written,
‘AS I LIVE, SAYS THE LORD, EVERY KNEE SHALL BOW TO ME, AND EVERY TONGUE SHALL GIVE PRAISE TO GOD.’
“So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God.”
